Is your protein NSF Certified?

BETTER YOUR GAME WITHOUT THE WORRY!

Athletes are constantly looking for ways to improve their performance and recovery. One of the best and easiest ways is through getting adequate protein in their diet, many times through supplements. There are hundreds of choices for protein supplements on the market, so it is important to know which ones are safe and which ones are not!
The National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) was developed for just that. NSF is an independent third-party certifier of sports supplements, not to mention many other products. NSF is recognized as the “gold standard” for quality and will help athletes, parents, and coaches make informed decisions when choosing their supplements. The NSF has a few different labels that let you know the testing the supplement has gone through.
The first label you may see is the “NSF Contents Tested & Certified”. This means that the ingredients listed on the label are exactly what you will find in the bottle and nothing else! Certified supplements go through lab testing and an evaluation of the manufacturing process is conducted to ensure no hidden ingredients are added.Another label you may see is “NSF Certified for Sport”. This ensures products do not contain any of the 270 + substances that are banned by major athletic organizations. It also verifies that the product is manufactured at a NSF International GMP Registered facility that is audited twice annually. This label is essential for all athletes and ensures they will not test positive for anything that is within these certified products.
At the end of the day, we all want supplements that are tested and we can trust. The NSF certifications help with this. Athletes, parents and coaches should be able to better their game without worry!
